Layout and design

Besides translation and interpreting services, we offer a wide range of additional layout and graphic design services, completed by our own professionals in the pre-press department.

Layout design completed accurately following all the rules and requirements facilitates reading of the document in the pre-press stage. Correct layout without unnecessary spaces, adjusted margins, hyphens and fonts make it a more pleasant and comfortable read which is easy on the eye. It is important to remember that a catalogue, a booklet, a business card or a leaflet – all serve as a reflection of your brand; your potential clients will form their first impressions on the basis of your printed advertising materials paying as much attention to the way they look as to their content.

Our layout designers realise how important the final proof-page stage is and make sure that they take due care and responsibility when preparing documents for printing.

The most popular type of page layout and design required by our clients is maximal visual similarity between the translated text and its original. In this case our page layout designers have a task of making sure that initial font and colour features as well as properties of original graphic elements (position, colour, size, etc.) are preserved in the translated document.

Not only does the layout design make a translated document identical to the original, but it also provides an opportunity to make the client’s document unique giving it its own special look and style. This is very important when producing booklets, leaflets, business cards, menus, catalogue covers, etc.

It is important to note that a correctly carried out page layout design eliminates many possible future problems and facilitates the process of the final document production. After the page layout design is complete, the printed text undergoes final proofreading and is sent to the client for signing.

We can also provide an additional service of converting a finished document from one format to the other, for example to PDF, PNG, PSD, TIFF, etc. If necessary, our specialists can prepare a different template or modify the existing one.

Our specialists use technical equipment and their vast experience of working with graphic formats (vector and raster) to their full potential when handling materials of any volume or complexity. As a result our clients obtain a final document in the format that is suitable and convenient for them.

The complexity of page layout design is determined not by the number of syllables on the page, but by the number of graphic images (pictures, graphs, plans, and tables), by how detailed they are and whether there is uneditable text on illustrations and photographs.

Our page layout designers have mastered programs like Adobe PageMaker, Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, QuarkXpress, Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop and many others to perfection. All of our specialists possess many natural skills: a great creative taste and style and an instinctive feel for colours.
In order to facilitate and speed up the process of page layout design, you should:

  • provide original document in the PDF, TIFF, BMP, GIF, JPG or PSD format, have it saved on a memory stick, a disk, a CD or e-mail it to us;
  • provide us with all your printing requirements;
  • provide us with a design template of the original document with the initial text and elements that can be changed and modified;
  • approve the translated text promptly; the process of page layout design cannot begin until you confirm that you are happy with the translation.

Only when all these conditions are adhered to, we can guarantee that high-quality results will be achieved and agreed time-frames will be met.

We are always happy to answer your questions, to clarify time frames and prices.
