On what particular aspects do we focus when preparing translations of personal documents?
a) Accuracy in conveying precise information (wording, numbers, names), hence the proofreader plays a crucial role in carefully reviewing the translator’s work;
b) In all cases of translating from Russian to a foreign language, the spelling of the document owner’s name and surname must match that in their foreign passport;
c) The specific requirements of each document type for proper acceptance by the destination country’s authorities.
Typically, clients requesting personal document translations also opt for certification by a notary public, legalization, or apostille services to ensure legal validity in another country. As we are fully accountable for the accuracy of translations notarized by us, additional translation verification is needed for documents translated by other companies.
Client approval of each translated document – no matter its size or content, prior to notarization is mandatory, as there are always nuances (such as names, company names etc.) and correctness and accuracy considerations involved.
Timely approval of a translation by the client helps us carry out the certification without disrupting deadlines and avoid the need to make changes and additions to the already certified document signed by a notary.
Please note that TransEurope offers fixed prices for translation of personal documents.
